Collectivization of producers, especially small and marginal farmers, into producer organisations is emerging as one of the most effective pathways to address the many challenges of agriculture and most importantly, improved access to investments, technology, inputs and markets.
Farmer Organizations have the potential to give farmers better bargaining power and create a more transparent agrimarket, and they need to be nurtured to their full potential.
